I met Angel years ago when I put an ad on Facebook for a MakeUp Artist. After our first shoot together went well, I asked her to do another one and it was going to push her skills a little. I was so ridiculous. I told her I wanted Glass glitter and dots glued to the model's faces. Angel and her assistant brought my vision to life.

1) Please share a little bit about yourself. Where are you from, what do you do, and what are your passions?

Hi! I go by Angel Johnson. I am from Memphis, TN and I am a business woman and community advocate. I own a Freelance Agency called Memphis Makeup Artists and have expanded that brand to include business consulting and cosmetics sales. I am most passionate about showing people how to live their best lives through intentional manifestation. So many are bound by lifestyles and beliefs that they can easily change.

2) In your own words, what does strength mean to you? Please feel encouraged to use personal examples of situations in your life where you were required to demonstrate your strength.

To me, strength means being able to deal with life's situations without losing yourself and your senses. This year I experienced the opportunity to be very strong. I lost my mother after a long battle with drug addiction. That entire ordeal took a good amount of strength. I was in the middle of opening my makeup studio, trying to get my kid out of high school, and manage LIFE. Her passing brought everything to a halt. But I found the strength to move forward.

3) What would you describe as the source of your strength?

My source of strength comes from my upbringing and the women who were instrumental in raising me. They taught me how to stand on my own and be a woman of my word. To lead by example and be exemplary in all that I do.

4) What keeps you from giving up?

My dreams keep me from giving up. And I am a dreamer! Always have been. I have been manifesting my life for as long as I can remember. It is too much fun to stop now.

5) Please share something that you never imagined you have the strength to do but you managed to accomplish anyway?

I never imagined I would have the strength to give my mom her very last makeover after her passing. But I did. And it was actually a very peaceful moment for me that I will never forget.
